Suddenly he finds his life changing in unbelievable ways as his fate becomes entangled with his classmate Tetsuo Shironuma, upperclassman Zenya Okinaga and best friend Makoto Mita.Sounds like your typical school boys' love setting right? Except that this being a Nitro+ production means that the story is also infused with horror of the most potent kind. Filled to the brim with Primal Fear and Body Horror, all heightened with a brilliantly creepy soundtrack, this is definitely not a game for the faint-hearted.

Sweet Pool (スウィートプール, stylized as sweet pool) is a female-oriented Boy's Love PC game, produced by the nitro+ BL-focused branch Nitro+CHiRAL.The game takes the form a visual novel, through which the players can interact thanks to a unique playing style based on their reactions - instinct and reason.
sweet pool wasn't localized in English and currently only exists in Japanese, but an English translation patch was released by the fan translation team Fuwanovel, allowing overseas users to play as well.
Discussing the story in any greater detail would, unfortunately, spoil a lot of what makes Sweet Pool so gripping to play. I found that visually, the horror was not quite as violent or grotesque as something like Saya no Uta, but be warned that the full 18+ version does contain graphic depictions of sex, rape, and blood in sex scenes.

Since setting foot back into education, both his physical and mental health goes on the decline as something sudden and disturbing starts to develop in his body. To put it bluntly, monstrous lumps of flesh start protruding from his body.
It not only causes him serious reasons to be concerned for his wellbeing, but is also the source of a significant amount of unwanted attention within the school. From hereon, sweet pool becomes an exceptional example of body horror done right, delivering one of the most gruesome and mind-breaking experiences within the genre in the visual novel medium.
